CTO Timo Idema steps down at Stedin Group
Rotterdam, 2 September 2026 – The Supervisory Board of Stedin Group has announced that Timo Idema is stepping down as CTO (Chief Transition Officer) of Stedin Group. This comes after the Supervisory Board and Timo mutually agreed to end their working relationship.
The Supervisory Board would like to thank Timo for the way he has carried out his role at Stedin. Chair of the Supervisory Board Doede Vierstra commented, “We have come to know Timo as a passionate and inspiring leader. He has invested a great deal in collaboration with various parties in the energy sector, and we will miss him at Stedin.”
Timo Idema said, "It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to leave Stedin. Many aspects of this role have given me a tremendous amount of energy to this very day: working to tackle the major societal challenge of the energy transition, my passionate and knowledgeable colleagues, and collaborating with all our partners in the energy sector. I would like to extend my warmest thanks to everyone I have worked with. I’m looking forward to taking on my next challenge, and perhaps I’ll come across the same fascinating topics and people again.”
The Supervisory Board has started the process of recruiting an interim CTO for the Stedin Group to temporarily take on Timo’s role.
