Stedin Group appoints Arco Groothedde as member of the Supervisory Board

Rotterdam, 30 September 2020 – Arco Groothedde has joined the Supervisory Board of Stedin Group. His appointment was approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on Wednesday 30 September. Mr Groothedde has been appointed for a period of four years. 

Arco Groothedde

Arco Groothedde (1964) is currently a member of the supervisory board of DSW. Previously, he was CEO of Translink Systems, the Kadaster (Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency) and RDW. His activities at Translink included the introduction of the public transport chip card. Groothedde’s ample experience as board member during the digital transformation at the Kadaster and Translink comes in very useful at Stedin Group, because digitisation is an important topic in the energy transition. He has a lot of experience with customer-oriented services and the often complex management of concession-granting local and central authorities. He wishes to contribute to providing socially relevant customer-oriented service. 

Start date 

Mr Groothedde will start in his new position at Stedin Group on 30 September. Following the appointment of Mr Groothedde, the supervisory board will temporarily consist of six members. Apart from Mr Groothedde, these are chair Doede Vierstra and members Annie Krist, Dick van Well, Theo Eysink and Hanne Buis. Dick van Well will be stepping down on 1 February 2021.
