Stedin Group issues another €500 million green bond
Rotterdam, 29 September 2026 – Stedin Groep has successfully issued a new €500 million green bond. The proceeds will be used to expand and reinforce the electricity grid, helping to accelerate the energy transition. The €500 million bond has a maturity of 12 years, an issue price of 99.477%, and a coupon of 4.625% (yielding an effective interest rate of 4.683%). The transaction was nearly 3.5 times oversubscribed, highlighting strong investor confidence in Stedin and its sustainable investment strategy. As a result, Stedin Groep was able to place the bond on attractive terms with a broad group of both existing and new investors. The bond will be listed on Euronext Amsterdam under ISIN XS3524258426.
Investing in a Future-Proof Energy System
This year, Stedin is investing approximately €1.6 billion in the expansion, reinforcement, and maintenance of its gas and electricity networks. These investments are expected to increase further in the coming years. They are essential not only to enable the energy transition, but also to support economic growth and new housing developments while ensuring the continued reliability and safety of the networks.
Proceeds dedicated to sustainable investments
The proceeds from this green bond will be allocated to a broad range of sustainable projects, including the connection of new solar parks to the electricity grid and enabling the decarbonization of businesses and residential properties. These initiatives empower our customers to reduce their own CO₂ emissions—an essential pillar of Stedin’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. The issuance of this green bond is based on the Green Finance Framework published in September 2025.
