Stedin Group welcomes Jaap Verhoeff as new CFO from 1 September 2025

Rottedam, 1 July 2025 - The Supervisory Board (SB) has appointed Jaap Verhoeff (1969) as Stedin Group's new CFO. The position is currently filled on an interim basis by Steven Suiker, after Danny Benima left at the end of last year. With this appointment, Stedin Group's Board of Management is back to full strength. 

Jaap Verhoeff has extensive experience at organisations in the building & construction and infrastructure sectors. Verhoeff has been chief financial officer at Boskalis Netherlands since 2019 and before that he was chief financial officer at Van Hattum en Blankevoort and Volker Stevin International, business units of VolkerWessels, for many years. Previously, he was a partner at KPMG. As such, he has built an impressive track record in finance & control.

With Jaap in place, Stedin has a strong board at the helm to continue building a reliable and future-proof energy network for the 2.4 million customers in our coverage area in the coming years. With this appointment, Stedin Group's Board of Management is once again complete. Besides Jaap Verhoeff, the BoM consists of Trudy Onland (CEO), Aline Arends (COO) and Timo Idema (CTO). They started on 1 May this year.
